Accountant

Hours: 20–30 hours per week

Location: Downtown Vancouver

Job Description:

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Associate to support our day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping functions. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, proactive, and comfortable handling multiple accounting tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate bookkeeping records

Record and reconcile transactions

Assist with monthly and year-end closings

Prepare financial reports and schedules

Manage accounts payable and receivable

Support payroll, tax filings, and compliance as needed

Other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements:

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

At least 1–2 years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience

Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting

Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero)

Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills

High attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Certifications (Preferred but Not Required):

CPA/CMA (in progress or completed)

Accounting Technician or Bookkeeping Certification

Relevant accounting or finance certifications are an asset

Work Authorization:

Must have a valid Open Work
