Reporting to the Maintenance Processing Supervisor, our Processing Plant Electricians are responsible for maintaining the electrical systems in our coal processing plant. This full-time hourly role offers either an attractive 4x4 rotating schedule (days and nights) or a fixed day shift of four 10-hour days with three days off.
The position is site-based at our operations in the Elk Valley, and the ability to reliably commute to or relocate near Elkford, B.C is necessary.
- Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
- Maintain, repair, and test electric or electronic systems and components in an industrial processing plant setting
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and troubleshooting - PLCs, motor systems, VFDs, instrumentations, sensors and control systems
- Complete installations and upgrades on various pieces of equipment in a processing plant environment
- Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Electrician Certification
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent
- Familiarity with reading electrical schematics, prints and working knowledge of the Electrical Code
- Experience with Allen Bradley Control Logix PLC systems for automation and process control is an asset
- Knowledge of processing plant machinery and associated electrical systems, including motors, switchgear, circuit breakers, and transformers
- Previous experience in an industrial processing plant environment is an asset

Base earnings reflected in salary range includes the hourly wage plus applicable shift premiums and will differ depending on location. It is calculated using a reasonably expected number of hours worked per year.
