About the role:

Reporting to the Maintenance Processing Supervisor, our Processing Electricians are responsible for maintaining the electrical systems in our coal processing plant. This is a full-time hourly position that offers an attractive 4x4 schedule consisting of days and nights.

The position is site-based at our operations in the Elk Valley, and the ability to reliably commute to or relocate near Elkford, B.C is necessary.

In this role you will:

- Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies

- Maintain, repair, and test electric or electronic systems and components in an industrial processing plant setting

- Perform routine preventative maintenance and troubleshooting - PLCs, motor systems, VFDs, instrumentations, sensors and control systems

- Complete installations and upgrades on various pieces of equipment in a processing plant environment

Requirements:

- Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Electrician Certification

- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent

- Familiarity with reading electrical schematics, prints and working knowledge of the Electrical Code

- Knowledge of processing plant machinery and associated electrical systems, including motors, switchgear, circuit breakers, and transformers

- Previous experience in an industrial processing plant environment is an asset
