Talisker Resources is looking for an Environmental Technician to join their Bralorne team in a part time capacity. Reporting to the Environmental Superintendent, the Environmental Technician will primarily be responsible with assisting the Environmental Department with field sampling, monitoring and data management. Responsibilities
- Conduct environmental monitoring and assessments to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Assist in the implementation of environmental management plans.
- Collect and analyze environmental samples, including soil, water, and air.
- Maintain accurate records of environmental data and reports.
- Collaborate with other departments to promote environmentally responsible practices.
- Participate in site inspections and audits as required.
- Provide support during environmental training sessions for staff.
- Stay updated on relevant environmental legislation and best practices.
- Qualifications
- College or University Degree in Environmental Science or Technician, Environmental Field courses/ Certification preferred.
- Safety Certificates: First Aid, working near water, Wildlife awareness (Bear Aware) willing to take training courses.
- Minimum 1 year Field work: collecting data, organizing and implementing field programs
- Knowledge and experience with BC Field Sampling Manual an asset.
- Strong Microsoft, Word, Excel and outlook skills. Data Management

- Strong Health and Safety disposition and teamwork orientated
- Working independently, Attention to Details.
- Comfortable driving Side by side / work truck.
- Working outdoors in adverse conditions.
- Valid driver’s license required
- Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
