Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Engineer to contribute to our diverse portfolio of port terminal projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of materials handling systems and asset management principles, with a proven track record of delivering technical solutions in a collaborative environment. You will be involved in all phases of project execution, from conceptual design and analysis to implementation and commissioning.

Responsibilities:

•

Conduct technical assessments and feasibility studies for materials handling systems, including conveyors, cranes, stackers, reclaimers, and other related equipment.

•

Develop and review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports.

•

Support asset management initiatives, including maintenance planning, reliability analysis, and lifecycle cost assessments.

•

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including project managers, designers, and clients.

•

Work with site foreman, superintendents, and trades-persons to develop plans and work order procedures.

•

Conduct site visits and inspections to gather data and oversee construction activities.

•

Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.

•

Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices and innovative solutions.

•

Assist in the preparation of proposals and presentations.

Qualifications:

•

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

•

Minimum 3-5 years of relevant engineering experience in materials handling or asset management, preferably within the port terminal industry.

•

Strong understanding of mechanical systems, structural analysis, and electrical control systems.

•

Experience with asset management software and methodologies is an asset.

•

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

•

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

•

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

•

Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.

Preferred Skills:

•

Experience with port terminal equipment and operations.

•

Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to materials handling and asset management.

•

Familiarity with ISO 55000 and ISO 14224.

•

Familiarity with CMMS or EAM software.

•

Project management experience.

•

Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility.

•

Other designations such as CRMP, MMP, PMP

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $80,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
