Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Engineer to contribute to our diverse portfolio of port terminal projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of materials handling systems and asset management principles, with a proven track record of delivering technical solutions in a collaborative environment. You will be involved in all phases of project execution, from conceptual design and analysis to implementation and commissioning.
Responsibilities:
•Conduct technical assessments and feasibility studies for materials handling systems, including conveyors, cranes, stackers, reclaimers, and other related equipment.
•Develop and review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
•Support asset management initiatives, including maintenance planning, reliability analysis, and lifecycle cost assessments.
•Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including project managers, designers, and clients.
•Work with site foreman, superintendents, and trades-persons to develop plans and work order procedures.
•Conduct site visits and inspections to gather data and oversee construction activities.
•Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.
•Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices and innovative solutions.
•Assist in the preparation of proposals and presentations.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
•Minimum 3-5 years of relevant engineering experience in materials handling or asset management, preferably within the port terminal industry.
•Strong understanding of mechanical systems, structural analysis, and electrical control systems.
•Experience with asset management software and methodologies is an asset.
•Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
•Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.
Preferred Skills:
•Experience with port terminal equipment and operations.
•Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to materials handling and asset management.
•Familiarity with ISO 55000 and ISO 14224.
•Familiarity with CMMS or EAM software.
•Project management experience.
•Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility.
•Other designations such as CRMP, MMP, PMP
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $80,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
