Purpose Of Role
Reporting to the Mine Manager, the Utility Crew / Project Supervisor will oversee the Utility Crew department.
Role Accountabilities
- Oversee all Earthwork Operations / Projects on the Copper World Site
- Manage Contractors on site and be the primary contact / support
- Managing the utility crews and make sure they are prepared and successful
- Develop new opportunities and a development path for the Utility Crew
- Communicate work plans to crew leader, ensuring that they are prepared and knowledgeable of projects prior to implementation.
- Able to independently identify project needs and coordinate ordering of needed supplies, equipment maintenance, and task completions.
- Track earthwork KPIs and present results weekly
- Provided verbal and written reports to Mine Manager on progress (examples: daily shift reports)
- Knowledge of project practices, polices, and systems.
- Ensure all company procedures and safety policies are followed, MUST lead by example.
- High School diploma / GED / associate’s degree
- 6+ years of related operational experience, including supervisory or lead experience- Contractor Management experience
- Policy Development Experience
- Exposure to Mine Planning
- Ability to work & multi-task in a fast -paced environment.
- Experience supervising, managing, and optimization the use of heavy equipment (Dozers, Excavators)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and meet all other requirements of the job.
- Can move over uneven terrain
- The ability to work in different environmental conditions.
- Positive work ethic
- Maintain a drug and alcohol-free workplace.
- Possess a valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to lead, motivate, manage and grow the team
