TRENCHING FOREMAN
We’re looking for an experienced Trenching Foreman – Excavation Foreman to lead and supervise crews in Prescott AZ. The foreman supervises excavation, grading, backfill, and utility installation for construction sites. The foreman is responsible for crew performance and site safety.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
•Supervise a crew of laborers and equipment operators on excavation, grading, and utility installation projects
•Plan daily tasks, coordinate with superintendents, and track progress
•Train and mentor crew members on safety, equipment use, and best practices
•Communicate with project managers and document daily activities and timecards
•Operate and oversee the use of heavy machinery, including excavators, loaders, backhoes, dozers, skid steers, forklifts, and tractors
•Perform hands-on tasks as needed
•Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and grade stakes; ensure work aligns with design specifications
•Troubleshoot issues on-site, adjusting work plans to stay on schedule and within budget
•Conduct safety meetings and enforce OSHA and client safety protocols
•Maintain site readiness, including equipment inspections, materials, permits, and schedules
•All other duties assigned
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
•2+ years of relevant construction/excavation experience
•1+ years in a supervisory or lead role
•Valid drivers license required – CDL Class A preferred
•Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
•The physical activity required for this role includes:
•Work in a range of weather conditions, including hot and cold weather
•Walking on uneven and variable terrain
•Sitting, standing, walking for extended periods
•Frequently standing, walking, stooping, reaching, climbing, bending and reaching
•Move in, about and around construction equipment
•Occasionally lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds
•Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
