Are you ready to be part of a team that powers communities and supports innovation? Trico Electric Cooperative is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team in Marana, Arizona.
What You Will Do
The Outside Plant Manager (OSP) oversees planning, construction, and maintenance of the Cooperative’s fiber-optic outside plant network (aerial, underground, and buried). This role manages end-to-end project delivery—from design and permitting through build, acceptance, and operations assuring network reliability, safety, and scalability to support current and future service demands. This position provides technical leadership and oversight for all outside plant construction and ensures continuous improvement of standardized processes. The role involves coordinating construction activities, maintaining relationships with local jurisdictions, utilities, and regulatory bodies, and managing construction contracts. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily management of OSP construction, installation, and maintenance of fiber and copper network facilities across poles, aerial, buried, and underground infrastructures.
What You Bring To Trico
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field. An equivalent combination of experience will be considered in lieu of education.
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience in Engineering, Construction, or Operations within the telecommunications industry.
- Prior supervisory experience or demonstrated ability to lead technicians and contractors in a telecom construction environment.
- Strong understanding of OSHA rules, National Electric Safety Code (NESC), and Federal, State (DOT/DOH), and local regulations.
- Must have and maintain valid Arizona Driver License.
- Previous experience in a Cooperative is preferred.
