We are seeking an Oracle EPM Decision Support / Administrator to serve as a business-facing internal consultant and system administrator for DEC’s enterprise-wide Oracle EPM platform.
At DEC, EPM is the system of record for all financial data and a SOX-regulated application. It is tightly integrated with our Snowflake data warehouse, supported by the Cloud Solutions and Data Warehouse team.
This role will bridge business requirements, technical execution, and compliance, ensuring robust financial reporting, planning, and analytics across the company.
- Partner with finance and business teams to design and deliver Oracle EPM solutions for planning, budgeting, reconciliation, and financial close.
- Work with the Cloud Solutions and Data Warehouse team to integrate Snowflake data into EPM.
- Manage data integration between ERP (Enertia), Snowflake, and Oracle EPM applications.
- Oversee SOX compliance controls, including access provisioning, role-based security, change management, and audit support.
- Act as first-line QA, validating integrations, reports, and processes.
- Work with third-party consultants on large-scale EPM initiatives (budgeting system upgrades, daily sales reporting, reserve data integration, etc.).
- Provide clear communication between business users, IT teams, and external consultants.
- - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Engineer, Data Analytics, IT or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle EPM (EPBCS, FCCS, ARCS).- Knowledge of Essbase, Calc scripts, Groovey Scripting, Smart View, and database dimension design and optimization.
- Experience with data integration tools (Oracle Data Integrator, Snowflake, SQL, or similar).
- Familiarity with SOX compliance (access controls, ITGCs, audit support).
- Understanding of accounting and financial metrics and concepts like accruals, EBITDA and ROI.
- Strong communication skills to bridge business and technical requirements.
- Database experience with Essbase, Snowflake, MS SQL, Oracle, or Hyperion PBCS.
- Experience in the oil and gas industry or related systems (Enertia, Flow-Cal, Cygnet, ARIES, FIS Align).
- Experience with planning, reporting, variance analysis or working with a trial balance
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
