Position Summary

The Environmental Specialist assists with environmental compliance, regulatory affairs, and sustainability initiatives. This role involves collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to maintain compliance with environmental regulations, minimize environmental impacts, and support sustainable practices.

Required Qualifications:

- A bachelor’s degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field is required.

- Candidates should have zero to five years of experience in environmental sampling and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with environmental compliance, regulatory affairs, and sustainability initiatives.

- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain compliance with environmental regulations.

- Support efforts to minimize environmental impacts and promote sustainable practices.

Necessary Skills and Competencies:

- Basic knowledge of environmental regulations

- Project management skills

- Capacity to collaborate on environmental matters within the organization

- Familiarity with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and permitting processes

- Experience operating power boats and watercraft

- Ability to work as part of a team on multiple projects

- Capability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

- Effective communication abilities

- Attention to detail

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
