We are looking for a Corporate Business Continuity Specialist to support the development, integration, and execution of enterprise-wide business continuity, crisis management, and response planning. In this impactful role, you’ll collaborate across ENMAX Power, ENMAX Energy, and Versant Power to align corporate strategies with operational incident management programs, ensuring a coordinated and effective response to critical events.
You’ll also play a key role in supporting Incident Command teams during corporate crisis situations, helping to safeguard our people, operations, and communities.
- Support the development and maintenance of the Corporate Crisis Management and Business Continuity Programs, including the development of standards, procedures, and processes
- Coordinate with Corporate and other business units to align crisis response and business continuity process and activities across the corporation.
- Develop and conduct planning, training and exercises to develop and maintain the skills of crisis response and business continuity for the corporate and business unit teams.
- Continually assess the crisis and business continuity management programs and develop approaches to improve effectiveness, efficiency and safety in crisis and continuity responses.
- Support business unit team members that have Crisis Response and Business Continuity program roles as required.
- Ensure that Corporate Business Continuity programs align with Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
- Manage and maintain internal and external relationships as required/ possible to assist during emergencies.
- Post-Secondary degree or an equivalent level of education and experience
- Completion of ICS 100, 200 and 300 training
- Emergency management and Emergency Exercise Design training is an asset
- Associate Emergency Manager (AEM) and/or Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP) designation(s) is an asset
- Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) and/or Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) is an asset
- Expertise in Business Continuity and Emergency Management principles
- Application of the Incident Command System (ICS)
- Experience in exercise design to develop and conduct exercises to provide experiential learning opportunities for the development and growth of the program and its participants
- Experience with compliance and/or regulatory programs to ensure emergency and continuity alignment with applicable codes and standards
- Recognition of root cause analysis and corrective action programs to provide support with post-incident investigations
- Experience working in the ServiceNow BCM Module is an asset
- Confident in public speaking and the ability to facilitate and engage and command an audience
- Assess situations, solve problems, and make thoughtful decisions using logic and reasoning
- Collaborative and able to build relationships with others across the organization Able to support and lead improvements, while encouraging flexibility and new ideas
- Manage time well, handle multiple tasks, and pay close attention to details
- Work with statistics, analyze information, and manage data accurately
- Works well independently and contributes positively to team efforts

Location: This role will be part of our hybrid (home and office) work force with office workspace located at ENMAX Place (141 - 50th Avenue SE, Calgary, AB). You will work from home on Mondays and Fridays and in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
