Job description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our operations team. This role is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, verifying and recording inventory, and ensuring all materials are handled accurately and safely. The ideal candidate is highly organized, can work independently, and thrives in a fast-paced warehouse or logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.

- Accurately document and record all incoming and outgoing materials in inventory systems.

- Prepare and package outbound shipments according to company and carrier requirements.

- Coordinate with carriers and schedule pickups/deliveries as needed.

- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.

- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment (if certified).

- Identify and report discrepancies, damages, or shortages to the supervisor.

- Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and stock organization.

- Collaborate with purchasing, production, and customer service teams to resolve shipping/receiving issues.

- Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent required.

- 2-3 years Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is required

- Familiarity with shipping software, ERP/inventory systems, and basic computer skills.

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

- Forklift certified

Working Conditions

- May require overtime or weekend shifts during peak periods.

- Frequent lifting, bending, and standing.

- Noisy environment (welding)
