We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Shipper/Receiver with Inventory Knowledge to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth warehouse operations, from accurately processing shipments to maintaining inventory levels.
Job Description:
As a Shipper/Receiver, you will be responsible for managing the inbound and outbound flow of goods and maintaining inventory accuracy. Your role will require a keen eye for detail, organization skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be an essential part of the team by ensuring all products are accurately shipped, received, and inventoried.
- Receive incoming shipments, inspect for accuracy, and ensure items are properly stored in the warehouse.
- Process and prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring all orders are packed and shipped according to customer specifications.
- Perform inventory checks and cycle counts to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Utilize inventory management software to track and record product movements.
- Assist with organizing and labeling inventory in a systematic manner.
- Ensure all shipping and receiving areas are clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team and other departments to meet operational goals.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, couriers, and other internal teams regarding shipment and inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and shipments.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in logistics or inventory management are a plus.
- Proven experience in shipping/receiving and inventory management, preferably in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to 50 Lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Proficient with warehouse management software and basic computer programs (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Forklift certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain).
