Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Roll-Off Truck Driver - Class 3 to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to safety, skilled in operating heavy-duty trucks, and capable of navigating diverse driving environments with precision. This physically demanding position involves preparing, loading, and transporting large open-top and compactor containers to disposal sites, transfer stations, recycling facilities, and customer locations.
Key Responsibilities:
•Operate roll-off trucks safely and efficiently along industrial routes, including navigating driveways, alleyways, high-traffic roads, and tight overhead areas.
•Execute precise backing maneuvers and positioning of containers in various environments.
•Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
•Prepare and load containers securely for transport.
•Deliver and pick up containers from customer sites, ensuring proper placement and return.
•Communicate effectively with the operations team, reporting site issues or delays and providing route feedback.
•Utilize app-based routing and reporting software for real-time navigation and job documentation.
•Maintain cleanliness and organization of client sites and vehicle.
•Assist with shop and yard duties and support overflow routes as needed.
•Follow all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
•Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications:
•Valid Class 3 driver’s license with Q (airbrake) endorsement.
•Minimum of 3 years of commercial driving experience in Class 3 vehicles, specifically in multi-stop routes.
•Clean commercial driver’s abstract.
•Strong physical ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 75 lbs.
•Basic knowledge of truck maintenance is an asset.
