- Assist Quality Control Manager (QCM) to develop, implement and maintain company Quality Management System (QMS), monitor the effectiveness of the QMS across the company.
- Support QCM for ABSA certificate renewals & audits and client quality evaluations & audits.
- Work with ABSA to maintain the quality system compliance with requirements of ASME B31.3 and applicable regulations for process piping (Cat. D / normal service, mechanically joined).
- Audit internal processes and work being performed for QMS compliance, write audit reports, and conduct follow-up on Corrective Actions until closure.
- Mentor, coach and monitor quality inspectors, shipping receivers, project coordinators, and etc., provide support and assistance when needed.
- Investigate non-conformances and follow them through corrective action to implementation and resolution.
- Enhance and implement subcontractor evaluation procedures, monitor the subcontractor’s performance, perform subcontractor evaluations regularly.
- Attend project kickoff meetings internally and externally, be company’s project quality main contact.
- Working with project coordinators, shop foreman and QCIs to generate project inspection & test plans (ITP) and other procedures as per QSM and project requirement.
- Coordinate all inspection activities from customers, subcontractors and internal personals, act as one of the internal quality inspectors.
- Prepare, sign and maintain project quality records, checklists and ABSA forms (AB-83, etc.), ensure they are all accurate and signed off by all parties.
- May get involved with PM roles.
- Opportunity to be promoted to QCM.
- Other duties may be assigned to you.
- Minimum 3 years manufacturing experience with Quality related roles preferably in a manufacturing environment in oil and gas industry.
- Working knowledge of ABSA, CSA, and ASME standards and applicable Provincial Safety Codes Act and Regulatory requirements for the construction of oil and gas pressure regulated products.
- Ability to read and understand P&ID’s, ISO’s, skid & vessel drawings, etc.
- Expressive individual with excellent communication, time management and team building skills.
- Welding inspection and pressure piping pneumatic testing experience are assets, but not must-have.
- Safety coordinating & auditing experience is a great asset.
