We are currently hiring an experienced Press Brake Operator to join our growing team in Calgary. This role is part of our Processing Division, where you’ll be responsible for producing precision-formed steel components that support major industrial and commercial projects across Canada.
Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM Afternoon Shift: Monday to Thursday, 2:30 PM – 1:00 AM
- Set up, program, and operate CNC and manual press brakes to form steel plate and sheet metal
- Interpret drawings, bend charts, and material specs accurately
- Perform quality checks using measuring tools (calipers, protractors, gauges)
- Select and install appropriate tooling, dies, and backstops
- Operate overhead cranes safely to move materials
- Monitor machine performance and report maintenance needs
- Work closely with the Processing team to meet production schedules
- Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe, organized work environment
- Proven experience operating CNC or manual press brakes
- Strong blueprint and flat pattern interpretation skills
- Understanding of bend allowances, tooling selection, and material characteristics
- Competency with material handling equipment (cranes, forklifts)
- High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality, accurate parts
