About Us:
At EnviCore, we’re transforming how the world builds by turning mineral resources and waste streams into sustainable supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs). Our team combines expertise in mineral processing, cement chemistry, and applied mineralogy to deliver low-carbon solutions to the global construction industry.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a Mineralogist to support feedstock evaluation for SCM development. This role combines the analytical skills common in academic research with the practical, hands-on approach required in industrial labs. The successful candidate will focus on mineralogical and chemical characterization of natural and industrial resources to help identify, evaluate, and qualify feedstocks for SCM production.
- Conduct XRD analyses (including quantitative phase analysis with Rietveld refinement) to characterize and quantify mineralogical composition of clays, shales, and related materials.
- Perform XRF analyses for bulk oxide chemistry and track variability across feedstock sources.
- Prepare and standardize samples for reliable, repeatable analysis.
- Operate and maintain XRD/XRF instrumentation (e.g., Bruker systems), including calibration, troubleshooting, and data integrity.
- Generate clear, industry-relevant technical reports summarizing mineralogical and chemical composition.
- Work closely with R&D and engineering teams to provide mineralogical insight for material selection and processing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Mineralogy, Materials Science, or a related field. MSc is an asset but not required.
- Hands-on experience with XRD and XRF operation and data interpretation is essential.
- Experience with quantitative phase analysis and Rietveld refinement software (e.g., TOPAS, HighScore Plus) is a strong plus.
- Background in clays, shales, or industrial minerals is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to translate raw mineralogical data into actionable insights for an industrial setting.
- Previous lab experience (academic or industrial) with a demonstrated ability to work independently.
- Apply your mineralogical expertise in a rapidly growing industrial cleantech environment.
- Work at the intersection of advanced lab analysis and real-world materials development.
- Be part of a team tackling one of the world’s largest sources of CO₂ emissions.
- Opportunity to grow your career with a scaling company making global impact.
