CDE Engineering Ltd. is a privately owned Calgary-based full-service engineering firm. We specialize in providing engineering design, procurement and construction management services for Canada's energy sector, focusing on the upstream and midstream segments of the oil and gas industry.
We are looking for a dedicated project engineer to assist with technical design across multiple disciplines (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, process, CSA, control) as well as project deliverables including DBM, cost estimating, scheduling, spend profile, procurement and regulatory applications as well as detailed review of technical drawings.
A successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of the upstream and midstream energy sectors across multiple disciplines. Priority will be provided to candidates with a consulting background with a proven history of problem-solving, lateral thinking, and self-motivation. The successful candidate will be expected to exercise their judgement in a technical environment, subject to supervision by senior staff.
- Complete RFQs, RFPs, Bid evaluations and POs.
- Coordinate and track status between discipline engineers and drafters
- Conduct independent technical design on upstream facility and pipeline projects
- Assist drafters in preparing technical drawings (including but not limited to Plot Plan, Process Flow Diagram, Process and Instrumentation Diagram)
- Prepare technical documentations (including but not limited to line designation table, valve list, equipment list, instruments list)
- Work directly with Senior Project Engineers and Project Managers assisting project management activities such as DBM, cost estimate, schedule and spend profile.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering
- P.Eng. in good standing with a Canadian engineering regulator (APEGA, EGBC, or APEGS)
- 4-8 years of EPCM consulting experience or relevant operational experience
- Strong analytical and engineering problem-solving skills
