Make your mark while you grow your career! We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our Mine Operations team at Albian! As a valuable member of the Mine Operations Department and reporting to the Shift Team Lead, you will support and implement the goals of Mine Operations by safely operating various kinds of equipment to complete operation’s objectives.
- Job location: Fort McMurray, Alberta - Albian Oil Sands site (MRM or JPM)
- Shift schedule: 7 x 7, 12-hour shift
- Safety sensitive position: Yes

- Responsible for safe, steady and reliable operations of the following equipment, not limited to:
- Haul Truck (797,793,789,785)
- Dozer (D11, D10)
- Grader (24H/M, 16 H/M)
- Excavator (Hitatchi EX 2500, Komatsu PC3000)
- Loaders (CAT 980, 938K, 988)
- Shovels (Bucyrus 495, Hitatchi EX 8000)
- Comply with all Health and Safety Requirements established by Canadian Natural including the use of Canadian Natural’s Safety Management System tools such as FLHA’s, Hazard ID’s and WSO’s
- Comply with all regulations and legislative requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act for the Province of Alberta and environmental standards
- Grade 12 Diploma or equivalency
- Experience operating a heavy equipment in a mining/oil sands environment
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
