NuVista’s Plant and Field Contract Operators ensure the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of our Sour Gas Facilities and surrounding wells and infrastructure. This is not a camp position and candidates must currently reside in or close to Grande Prairie.

- Ensuring operations are carried out in a safe/compliant/cost effective and environmentally responsible manner
- Operating of inlet separation, compression, dehydration, condensate stabilization, condensate & water storage, associated pumps, and power generation equipment
- Optimizing well production and maximizing run time within the field
- Ensuring NuVista maintains regulatory compliance including but not limited to pigging, testing, pipeline chemical inhibition, odours, facility inspections and reporting
- Contributing to the team achievement of meeting business, environmental, health and safety targets
- Working towards completing and implementing site specific procedures for area of responsibilityWhat We are Looking for in a Successful Candidate:
Our ideal candidate is a motivated and enthusiastic team player with 5+ years of sour operating experience directly in the area of field and gas processing.
As well, they will be required to:
- Hold a valid class 5 drivers license
- Have Completed a technical diploma or power engineering certificate is an asset
- Applicants must be legally able to work in Canada
- Complete the respiratory fit-testing and hearing assessments annually
- As this is a safety sensitive position, the successful candidate is subject to the relevant drug and alcohol testing, as per NuVista’s policy.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with computers is required
- Exceptional organization skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude
