Interface Fluidics is a rapidly growing company changing the way that reservoir technology is developed in the oil and gas industry. Our measurements are made using proprietary high-pressure/high-temperature microfluidic devices. The Chip Fabrication Coordinator is responsible for the chip quality control and day-to-day administration of the chip fabrication, inventory, order delivery processes, and external vendor communications. This role works closely with Microfabrication Technologists to coordinate fabrication facility activity and assists in chip fabrication as needed. This role is responsible for administration of accounts at multi-user cleanroom facilities and outsourced fabrication centers ensuring redundant backups of high-quality fabrication tools for the entire fabrication process. This role will conduct quality control testing on all chips that are fabricated including optical inspection and pressure testing. They will work closely with engineering staff to automate this process.
: $65,000 to $75,000
- Working with Microfabrication Technologist to set delivery timelines for chips and ensure that they are met
- Assisting Microfabrication Technologists in the cleanroom as needed
- Managing administrative accounts at all cleanrooms and auditing time logs to ensure that there are not mistakes
- Working with outsourced microfabrication as needed to ramp-up chip production
- Conducting optical and pressure testing of microfluidic chips
- Ensuring that all fabrication steps are logged properly and that all data on chips in the Portal are up to date
- Working with Operations Team Lead to address chip errors reported by customers
- Responsible for controlling chip inventory and managing chip out/inflows to internal Operations Team and external customers
- Once orders for chips are made, this role is responsible for managing the delivery of these orders
- Assisting in Operations Lab as needed
- Assisting in SapphireLab manufacturing and testing as needed
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Biotechnology, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
- Hands-on experience with microfabrication, cleanroom operations, or microfluidic chip production (academic or industry).
- Skilled in optical inspection with strong attention to detail.
- Proven ability to coordinate production timelines, manage inventory, and maintain accurate fabrication records.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with engineers, technicians, and external vendors.
- Knowledge of microfluidic device design and fabrication workflows (e.g., photolithography, soft lithography, etching, bonding).
- Experience with quality control systems, process automation, and inspection/testing equipment for microfluidics.
- Willingness to assist in related lab and manufacturing tasks outside of direct fabrication duties when needed.
