CNC Lathe Machinist

We have an opening for a CNC Lathe Machinist based out of our SE Technical Centre for afternoon shift – Monday – Thursday 2:30PM – 01:00AM. Reporting to the Machine Shop Supervisor, the CNC Lathe Machinist is responsible for basic programming, set up and operation FAGOR TNC770/1060 Lathes.

Responsibilities also include:

- Generate CNC programs for TNC770/1060 using FAGOR Control

- Set-up and operate Fagor TNC770/1060

- Verify and record dimensions of parts and adjust machine accordingly to obtain desired quality of end product

- Perform maintenance requirements on machines and maintain working area and equipment

- Assist with training new employees

- Other machining and QC related tasks as required

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience with CNC Lathe machine set-up. Experience in the oil and gas industry, API threading as well as experience with MAZAK Machine and Mazatrol control are considered an asset.
