Company Overview:
We are a growing tank truck and pressure truck company located in Clairmont, Alberta, proudly serving the oil and gas sector throughout Northern Alberta. With a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and quality work, we are looking to add a motivated Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic ( Preferable 1st or 2nd year) to our team to support our busy fleet operations.
Position Summary:
As an Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will work alongside experienced journeyman technicians to maintain and repair tank trucks, pressure trucks, and trailers. You will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment with exposure to TDG tanker systems, pressure trucks hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and CVIP standards.
- Assist in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of highway trucks, tankers, and pressure equipment.
- Learn to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
- Help maintain accurate service records and complete work orders.
- Performs routine and specific maintenance tasks;
- Keep work areas clean and organized and follow shop safety practices.
- Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
- Take initiative in learning and progressing through your apprenticeship program.
- Registered Heavy Duty Mechanic Apprentice (1st–4th year).
- Basic understanding of diesel engine systems, hydraulics, and mechanical tools.
- TDG/Tanker or oilfield service experience is an asset, but not required.
- Safety-focused with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license (Class 1 or 3 is an asset).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
