About Western Pipeline Compliance
Western Pipeline Compliance is a specialized provider of inspection and compliance services for pipeline operators and energy infrastructure companies across Canada. We focus on ensuring the mechanical integrity and safe operation of pressure equipment through expert-level inspections, engineering support, and regulatory compliance solutions. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced API 510 Chief Inspector to join our team and lead inspection programs for pressure vessels and related fixed equipment.
Key Responsibilities
•Lead and execute inspection programs in accordance with API 510 for pressure vessels and related fixed equipment.
•Develop inspection plans, manage field execution, and supervise site inspection teams.
•Interpret NDT data, evaluate inspection reports, and prepare fitness-for-service assessments.
•Ensure all work complies with applicable regulatory standards and internal procedures.
•Provide clear recommendations for repairs, replacements, or ongoing monitoring.
•Support audits, turnarounds, shutdowns, and ongoing maintenance programs.
•Maintain complete and accurate documentation for all inspections and regulatory submissions.
•Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, QA/QC, and operations personnel.
Qualifications
•Active API 510 Certification (required).
•5+ years of experience inspecting pressure vessels, piping, and fixed equipment.
•Strong working knowledge of ASME, NBIC, API 570/653, and applicable codes.
•Proficient in reviewing NDT results (UT1, RT, MT, PT) level 1 and basic metallurgy.
•Excellent leadership, communication, and technical writing skills.
•Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to remote and industrial locations.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $80,000.00-$141,288.13 per year
