Blast Crew Operator

Location: North Antelope Rochelle Mine

Position: This Blast Crew Operator position will operate all types of WESCO trucks and specialty manufacturing plant equipment to prepare and deliver explosives products to customers in a safe, timely, and efficient manner. Willing to train.

Qualifications:

- Pass a background check with no felonies.

- Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening.

- Valid driver’s license.

- Be able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds.

Job Description:

-Drive and operate bulk/blend truck to prepare and deliver quality blasting products to customer sites.

-Operate manufacturing plant equipment.

-Operate and perform maintenance on blasting products trucks and other equipment.

-Follow all safety procedures while driving and operating equipment and while on blast sites to protect personal safety and safety of others.

-Be knowledgeable of, and comply with applicable DOT, OSHA, MSHA, EPA and BATF regulations.

-Be able to work accurately with numbers and perform simple mathematical calculations.

-Maintain safe working conditions and assure that all crew members and others on the site follow all safety and regulatory procedures and practices to ensure a safe and successful event.

-Not required but a plus to have CDL for commercial drivers with HAZMAT and Air Brakes endorsements.

-While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands, fingers, handles, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.

-Be able to wear personal protective equipment where required, and may require lifting of 60 lbs.

Working Environment: Working conditions are sometimes outdoors in all weather conditions of temperature and climate, or in the cab of a truck, or indoors of operating the manufacturing plant.

Schedule: Shift is generally four days on, four days off, continuously. Schedule includes weekends and holidays.

Pay: Starting at$23.00/hr., depending on experience
