Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Environmental Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sampling and implementation of management plans is undertaken to maintain compliance with permit and project terms and conditions. The Environmental Technician will play a crucial role in supporting our commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship while fostering a health and safety culture of zero harm.

Duties

- Collect, monitor, survey and record environmental factors, including air and water quality, soil sample and salvage, wildlife and fish counts.

- Perform data collection and maintain accurate records of findings.

- Collaborate with team members on research projects, providing insights based on collected data.

- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with safety protocols.

- Assist in the development of environmental reports and presentations.

- Read maps and navigate variable terrain, including operating off-road vehicles.

- Identify hazards, comply with safety policies and procedures, and promotes safety awareness through day-day attitudes and actions.

Qualifications

- 2 years experience with Environmental field work and sampling

- Experience on industrial or mining sites

- Mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.

- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation processes.

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

- A passion for environmental conservation and sustainability practices.

- Valid Class 5 driver's license or equivalent

Pay: $75,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
