**Job Title:** Accounts Payable Clerk

**Location:** Gray, Louisiana

**Schedule:** 5/2

The Accounts Payable Clerk position involves processing accounts payable invoices and ensuring timely closure of accounts payable by monthly deadlines. The role requires a strong understanding of accounts payable processes, including both PO and non-PO processing, and the application of sales tax. The ideal candidate will be proactive and able to provide insights into accounting processes, with a focus on automation and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

* Learn and process accounts payable invoices.
* Handle both PO and non-PO processing of accounts payable.
* Understand complex processing related to accounts payable, including sales tax application.
* Close accounts payable by monthly deadlines and prepare necessary reports.
* Work independently with minimal direct supervision.
* Collaborate with various financial, operational, and data processing systems.

Qualifications:

* Minimum 3 years of experience in accounts payable.
* Experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred.
* Excellent communication skills in a team environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
* Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask.
* Customer service experience is a plus.
