Overview
The Global Commercial Head in in Indian Global CRO (Clinical Research Organization/Contract Research Organization) will lead the commercial strategy and execution across the Generics, Innovators, and Biopharma segments worldwide. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and ensuring commercial excellence through strategic planning, business development, client relationship management, and operational alignment.
The role demands a visionary leader with a strong understanding of the global clinical research and pharmaceutical landscape in North America.

Strategy and Planning
•Collaborate with the COO to define and implement long-term commercial
•strategies aligned with financial and growth objectives equating to 120 Million or more.
•Monitor commercial performance metrics and adjust strategies to optimize outcomes.
•Identify and capitalize on emerging market opportunities across geographies and therapeutic areas.
•Participate in bid defense meetings and contribute to proposal development with cross-functional leaders.
•Build a dynamic and agile pipeline management process to ensure sustained business momentum.
Business Development
•Lead a data-driven approach to commercial growth by analyzing market trends, client needs, and competitive intelligence.
•Utilize CRM tools to manage leads, opportunities, and client communications transparently and efficiently.
•Ensure timely, high-quality RFP submissions and optimize proposal workflows.
•Collaborate with clinical operations, regulatory, project management, and marketing to align commercial efforts with service delivery.
•Represent the Global CRO (Indian MNC) at global industry events to enhance brand visibility and forge strategic partnerships.
•Build and maintain a strong network of industry contacts to identify new business opportunities.
Client Relationship Management
•Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers across client organizations.
•Implement account-based marketing strategies to drive client satisfaction, retention, and growth.
•Lead proactive client engagement initiatives, including regular business reviews and feedback loops.
•Ensure delivery of tailored client solutions aligned with evolving market and business needs.
Policies, Processes & Procedures
•Establish standardized commercial policies, costing templates, and RFP procedures in line with regulatory and client expectations.
•Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the commercial function.
•Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, ICH GCPs, Quality and Information Security Management Systems, and internal compliance standards.
People Management
•Promote the organization's culture across own team to ensure its alignment with the required and desired behaviors.
•Instill a culture of continuous development and performance within the department.
•Lead by example by encouraging teamwork, driving results and excellence, developing, and grooming talent and demonstrating role modelling behavior.
•Proactively participate in recruiting, development & engagement of own team and other key departmental roles, if needed.
•Set and communicate clear performance expectations and guidelines, coach, and provide support and regular feedback to own team and overall department.
•Evaluate training and development requirements for department level capability building and make recommendations for learning interventions.
Operating Network
•Key interactions which are essential to execute the role. This will include both internal (excluding sub-ordinates) and external Stakeholder.
Experience, Education & Skill
•Bachelor’s degree in science or management, preferably in Business Management or Finance
•12-15 years of experience with a minimum 5 years in managing BD accounts in Clinical Research (Generics & Innovators) space
•Advanced CRM e.g. Salesforce and pipeline
