We are looking to add to our paint division and requiring an additional Painter to operate and complete our downdraft booth painting projects. This position is responsible for proper preparation/setup, operation and wrap up of painting projects using high quality paint to finish doors and windows. Other duties include proper mixing of appropriate paint, reading and interpreting blue prints/project requirements. A positive attitude and with the aim of helping the team succeed is important as well. Main Duties:

- Operate hand-held spray guns to spray paint and coat windows, doors, frames with the appropriate color coatings.

- Read and interpret specific instructions for a particular project.

- Inspect and prepare surfaces for a superior quality finish to each piece.

- Selecting appropriate paint.

- Paint small items and apply touch-ups using paint brushes or spray cans.

- Clean and maintain painting and coating guns, ventilation, spray booth and personal protective equipment.

- Comply with company policies and safe work procedures.

- Other duties as required.

Employment Requirements:

- Steel toe boots

- Good communication skills - able to read and speak clear English

- Attention to detail and ability to read basic layout designs

- Punctuality and good work attendance record

- Ability to lift up to 50 lb

Skills:

- Some experience using a spray gun and working with downdraft booths.

- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, with an ability to read and interpret blueprints.
