Spray-Tech / Junair is a dynamic, rapidly evolving, and continuously improving manufacturing company based in Rialto, California. We relentlessly strive for excellence and are currently looking for an additional Designer / Drafter II with similar ideals. Our growing corporation is thriving in industrial solutions, supplying Powder Coating Systems, Preparation Stations, Direct Gas Fired Industrial Heaters, Industrial Control Panels, Automotive Spray-Painting Booths, and custom engineered industrial equipment.
We are looking for a talented Designer / Drafter with strong Autodesk Inventor experience to take projects from concept drawings through complete construction and fabrication shop drawings. The ideal candidate will have experience in 3D modeling, sheet metal design, and structural fabrication within a manufacturing environment.
The Level II Designer / Architect/ Drafter will work from our Rialto, CA location. We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable professional who is highly experienced in Autodesk Inventor, 3D design, Solid works, sheet metal modeling, and structural design. The ideal candidate will be capable of supporting engineering and production teams by creating accurate fabrication drawings, assemblies, and documentation required for manufacturing.
- Create 3D parametric part files and assemblies for fabrication and production.
- Design sheet metal components, structural assemblies, and welded structures for industrial equipment.
- Develop sub-assemblies and full system assemblies used in final manufacturing builds.
- Maintain and expand the company’s Autodesk Vault parts and assembly catalog.
- Create detailed fabrication drawings, weldments, and shop drawings for production.
- Modify and improve existing company designs to conform with internal engineering standards.
- Generate 3D models, layout drawings, and exploded views for production and installation.
- Work with production and engineering teams to ensure designs meet fabrication and manufacturing requirements.
- Utilize ERP management / Genius Shop System software.
- Create shipping lists and labels using Groove Packer software.
- Experience using ERP management systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Creative approach to design improvement and product development.
- Excellent understanding of engineering and mechanical design principles.
- Knowledge of industrial equipment design, ventilation systems, or fabrication equipment
- Experience with Kanban parts management systems a plus.
- Six Sigma White or Yellow Belt in Lean Manufacturing a plus.
