Because they express who we are, and they have helped us succeed in business for over 60 years. We value you – your unique set of skills and experience. We value your willingness to build those skills and make a meaningful contribution to our company. And, we value your commitment to treat every person on our team with respect, helping us to operate safely, protect the environment and make a positive contribution to our local communities.
The main objective of the Exploration team is to ensure a strong pipeline of projects supports the reserves base and production capacity while maintaining the quality, manageability, and adequacy of our future investments. We focus on increasing reserves and gold production in mining-friendly areas through early-stage acquisition opportunities and adding value using our expertise in exploration and mine development.
Agnico Eagle’s Kirkland Lake property covers the historic Kirkland Lake Mining Camp, a 3.5 hour drive from Sudbury and a 5.5 hour drive from Toronto. The project area has full road access with the full-service town of Kirkland Lake a short drive away. The project area includes the producing Macassa Mine, the Upper Beaver Advance Exploration project and numerous historic mines. The Kirkland Lake Regional Exploration office is based out of the historic Upper Canada mine building in Dobie, Ontario.
