Lead the transition from detailed engineering into construction, and the construction completion and handover of the Noth Bullfrog Project to operations. This role ensures all engineering packages are complete, coordinated, and constructible, and that construction activities are properly planned, resourced, and aligned with project objectives and execution strategy.
In parallel with engineering and construction planning, the role also provides technical support during the NEPA permitting process ensuring accurate and timely integration of project designs into the DEIS/EIS documentation. The position plays a critical role in construction readiness, including contractor procurement facilitation, field mobilization, and oversight of early works and full-scale construction.
Role Accountabilities Engineering and Design Readiness
- Oversee and finalize detailed engineering deliverables to ensure they are technically sound, constructible, and in alignment with the project’s execution strategy.
- Lead and document constructability reviews in collaboration with EPCM and contractors.
- Ensure seamless integration of engineering design with environmental permitting and construction sequencing.
- Lead the development and ongoing update of the Construction Plan, including construction methods, sequencing, temporary works, field logistics, and resourcing.
- Coordinate early works planning and implementation, including site access, utilities, laydown areas, and temporary infrastructure.
- Oversee construction readiness activities, including mobilization plans, contractor onboarding, and field execution strategies.
- Ensures that safety and environmental management requirements are fully embedded into construction planning and execution.
- Participate in the development of strategies in support of infrastructure build out, project and mining activities related to Beatty housing infrastructure and NBP project.
- Lead the development Construction Execution Plan (PEP) and the update of the Project Execution Plan (PEP), ensuring alignment with project objectives, permitting constraints, and project milestones.
- Ensure the PEP and construction plan reflects current project status, interface risks, stakeholder inputs, and execution approach across engineering, procurement, and construction.
- Provide technical support during the NEPA (DEIS/EIS) permitting process in coordination with the environmental and permitting team.
- Ensure accurate and timely incorporation of construction footprints, access routes, and infrastructure layouts into regulatory filings.
- Support response to agency comments and stakeholder inquiries to maintain alignment between permitting documents and engineering.
- Review and approve construction-related RFPs developed by the EPCM.
- Lead contractor selection processes and monitor contractor performance through mobilization and field execution.
- Oversee interface between EPCM, contractors, and internal teams to resolve issues, manage risks, and maintain schedule alignment.
- Monitor construction cost and schedule performance, working with Project Services to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Support earned value tracking and ensure alignment with baseline budgets and timelines.
- Ensure that safety, environmental, and permitting conditions are met throughout engineering and construction.
- Confirm that all corporate and regulatory approvals are obtained before execution of work scopes, contracts, or major commitments.
- Facilitate alignment and communication among internal disciplines (engineering, environmental, procurement, legal, finance, operations) and with external partners.
- Champion a collaborative and solution-oriented approach to project delivery and decision-making.
- Experienced in contract negotiations and agreements common to Nevada construction projects.
- Experienced in drafting, reviewing and using construction drawings and associated documents.
- Experience with Nevada permitting requirements and forms, and government regulations.
- An understanding of survey systems e.g. Public Land Survey System.
- Knowledge and familiarity with 43 CFR
- 3809 (Surface Management Regulations for Mining Operations) preferred.
- Experience with budget and schedule management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong leadership skills in line with AGA cultural values.
- Able to lead and manage a group of motivated construction professionals, internal and external to AGA to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Able to engage with a diverse and highly skilled workforce to achieve plans and actively support company strategies.
- Able to manage multiple simultaneous taskings and requirements, ensuring the provision of quality services to all stakeholders.
- Able to develop and maintain effective communications with all levels of management, as well as communications and negotiations with government and non-government authorities, organizations, community groups and other stakeholders.
- Able to prioritize work, delegate work as appropriate, and supervise the work of others to accomplish required taskings.
- Self-motivated, well organized with a notable attention to detail and an ability and willingness to hold all persons accountable for their individual performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields.
- Knowledge of relevant MSHA statutory requirements related to construction.
- Knowledge of relevant Nevada statutory requirements related to construction.
- Broad-based understanding of mining issues in rural Nevada.
- Minimum twelve (12) – fifteen (15) years’ experience managing a combination of construction or similar contracts.
- Track record of completing large (> $200 M) construction projects on time and on budget.
- Minimum of five (5) years managing a diverse team of construction professionals.
- Experience interfacing with various relevant government agencies.
- This role requires a valid driver’s license to drive company vehicle to and from the project site.
Conditions Of Employment
This is a full-time exempt position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday – Friday. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. As per operational requirements. As per operational requirements.

COMPENSATION:
$150,000 - $190,000
