The Senior Safety Coordinator will be the leader of the Safety Coordinator team and will manage day-to-day safety practices for on-site Residential and Self-performed Commercial projects, and facilities in Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. The Senior Safety Coordinator will direct and support the training of new hires to instill best practices and train in proper safety procedures. The Senior Safety Coordinator will support the Safety team along with Branch / Division Operations and Install Managers to help identify products, procedures, and equipment to assure the health, safety, and wellness of our sales, marketing, and operational teams. A vehicle will be provided with this position. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer.
- Demonstrates our Core Values Be Responsible, Be Clear and Be Excellent by supporting and cultivating a Safety culture and commitment to safety throughout the business daily.
- Performs safety audits, field inspections, and incident / accident investigations reporting any inconsistencies and lack of compliance and suggested corrective actions to managers and leadership on a weekly basis
- Supervise and team lead the Safety Coordinator’s inclusive of priority setting and special project assignment
- Collaborates with managers and HR on disciplinary action due to non-compliance with safety policy,
- Maintain a written log of safety inspection activities, reports, and correspondences and assures relevant information is easily accessible and available to co-owners
- Manages workers compensation claims
- Maintains OSHA logs for all ReVision Energy physical locations
- Leads the development of safety education and safety training programs; evaluates training needs
- Develops materials for weekly Monday Morning Meetings and tailgates to be delivered by Safety Coordinators or otherwise delegated branch Safety SME.
- Trains and communicates Safety policy and practices to create and maintain consistency in the training of employees
- Collaborates with Commercial and Residential Operations Leadership, Managers, Install Managers, Project Managers, Site Supervisors and Crew Leads to ensure best practices are applied and shared across the Company
- Works closely with Company Wide Fleet Manager on vehicle safety; Evaluates current safety culture and monitors program compliance with mandated laws, rules and regulations
- Along with COO and CHRO, performs the annual evaluation of the safety program, setting company safety goals and key performance indicators, and the strategy to accomplish those goals in the year ahead
- Maintains records and develops reports on safety program effectiveness; measured through kpi’s on a weekly basis in the Safety Tactical meeting
- Performs accident investigation reports of employee injuries and/or accident’s; determines cause and recommends preventive measures to Safety Team
- Collaborates with RETC to manage and oversee all safety training content in Learning Management System managing the content in one place to use during new employee safety orientation training and ongoing trainings.
- Help create practical interpretation from policy to the field within safety plan (safety manual, employee handbook, perform Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), so everyone can access and perform daily job duties safely
- Maintain awareness of new developments in the field of industrial safety.
- Collaborate with external safety providers to assure compliance and consistency across all ReVision Energy locations, business units and staff
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Required - OSHA 30, OSHA 500, or OSHA 510
- Bachelor’s Degree– Safety Management, Occupational Safety, Environmental Safety, or related
- 3-5 years experience in the Construction Industry. Electrical Trades preferred.
- Desire to succeed and thrive in a dynamic work environment and a growing industry.
- Daily travel required
- Clean and valid driver’s license
- Ability to climb ladders, lift 50 lbs unassisted
