Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Offshore Scaffolding Supervisor to oversee scaffolding operations on maritime construction sites. This role requires strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of scaffolding systems, and a solid background in various construction disciplines. The ideal candidate will ensure safety, compliance, and efficiency while managing scaffolding teams in challenging offshore environments. Candidates with expertise in construction management, blueprint reading, heavy equipment operation, and related trades are highly preferred. This position offers an opportunity to lead complex projects and contribute to the successful completion of offshore construction initiatives.

Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate scaffolding installation, dismantling, and maintenance activities on offshore sites

- Ensure all scaffolding work complies with safety standards and project specifications

- Manage scaffolding crews, assign tasks, and monitor performance to maintain productivity and quality

- Conduct regular inspections of scaffolding structures for stability, safety hazards, and code compliance

- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to integrate scaffolding plans with overall project schedules

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings related to scaffolding layouts and structural details

- Oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment necessary for scaffolding assembly and disassembly

- Enforce safety protocols including fall protection, hazard communication, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

- Document daily progress, safety incidents, and inspection reports for project records

- Provide training and mentorship to team members on safe work practices and technical procedures

Qualifications

- Proven experience in scaffolding supervision within offshore or large-scale construction environments

- Strong knowledge of construction management principles and safety regulations

- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings related to scaffolding systems

- Experience with a variety of construction trades such as carpentry, welding, masonry, roofing, concrete finishing, plumbing, electrical work, and restoration is a plus

- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely on-site

- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques relevant to scaffolding work

- Knowledge of construction estimating and inspection processes is advantageous

- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively under challenging conditions

- Relevant certifications in scaffolding safety (such as OSHA or equivalent) are preferred
