This is a full-time hybrid role for a Licensing Engineer based in Cambridge, MA, with flexibility for remote work. The Licensing Engineer will handle regulatory compliance tasks and support the licensing of nuclear energy projects. This includes preparing and reviewing licensing applications, liaising with regulatory agencies, and ensuring adherence to local and international nuclear safety standards. Additional responsibilities include assessing regulatory requirements, facilitating approvals, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to align project goals with legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience with nuclear regulations, license applications, and compliance processes
- Proficiency in technical writing, documentation, and reviewing regulatory and technical reports
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to engage with regulatory bodies and interdisciplinary teams
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex regulatory challenges
- Understanding of nuclear safety standards, risk assessments, and relevant international regulations
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is required; Master’s degree is a plus
- Familiarity with nuclear project management and prior experience in a licensing or compliance role preferred
