Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team to support a mine site in Saskatchewan, 65 km west of Flin Flon Manitoba. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients' mine site, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, utilizing surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies to protect property and ensure the safety of individuals on-site.

This will be a mine-support role, with camp-accommodations, and a 14/14 shift. This is a 6 month contract.

Responsibilities

- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.

- Operate and maintain CCTV systems to ensure effective surveillance coverage.

- Conduct regular inspections of premises and assets, including contractor and company vehicles entering/exiting the site.

- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.

- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to report incidents or provide information.

- Enforce company policies and procedures related to security and safety protocols.

- Document daily activities, incidents, and any irregularities in a clear and concise manner.

- Provide excellent customer service while interacting with clients, employees, and visitors.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or loss prevention is preferred.

- Previous experience in supporting a mine or industrial site in a security or similar role

- Familiarity with surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems.

- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert at all times.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.

- Must possess a valid security license or certification as required by local regulations.
