The Manager, Shared Services Administration (SSA) Budgets & Operations oversees budgeting, planning, compliance, and operational support for Shared Services. This role leads a team, ensuring the effective execution of financial planning, compliance initiatives, vendor management, and administrative operations. The Manager serves as the primary liaison between Shared Services, Corporate Accounting, and other internal stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and alignment with organizational goals.
- Supervise and develop a team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Delegate and oversee team responsibilities, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and support professional development opportunities for direct reports.
- Oversee the development, monitoring, and reporting of Shared Services annual budget.
- Manage monthly financial reporting, variance analysis, and forecasting activities for Shared Services.
- Act as the liaison for cross-functional budget discussions, including collaboration with Corporate Accounting and Finance.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve cost efficiency and ensure alignment with organizational financial goals.
- Ensure adherence to corporate compliance initiatives, policies, and procedures.
- Oversee preparation for internal and external audits, ensuring timely resolution of any findings.
- Oversee detailed audits of payroll processing data to ensure accuracy, compliance with internal policies, and adherence to regulatory requirements
- Oversee transactional and tactical processes managed by the SSA Budgets & Operations Specialists, including:
- Onboarding/offboarding support
- Tuition reimbursement administration
- Employment verifications
- Vendor master maintenance and contractor management
- Budget tracking and reporting
- Benefits vendor billing and funding requests
- Records retention, including filing and scanning
- Contract management and documentation
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
- Support the VP of Shared Services Administration on special projects and initiatives as needed.
- Represent SSA in cross-functional meetings and projects, ensuring alignment with corporate priorities.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials for executive leadership and board meetings.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in budgeting, financial planning, or operations, including 2+ years in a leadership role.- Experience in Shared Services, Corporate Accounting, or a similar environment is preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with a proven track record of developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Proficiency in financial systems and tools (e.g., Lawson, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
