We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead the company’s accounting operations and financial reporting. This role will oversee the accounting department, maintain strong financial controls, and provide financial insight to support executive leadership and strategic decision-making.
This position is based in Peoria, Arizona and works closely with company leadership.
The Controller is responsible for planning, directing, and managing all accounting functions of the company. This includes oversight of general ledger accounting, job cost accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting leader who can manage day-to-day accounting operations while also providing high-level financial analysis and strategic support.
- Oversee all accounting activities including general ledger, job cost accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, commissions, inventory, and fixed assets
- Manage and supervise the accounting team and daily accounting functions
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes
- Maintain and audit the General Ledger
- Prepare and deliver internal financial statements and reporting packages
- Forecast cash flow and working capital requirements
- Provide financial analysis supporting capital investments, pricing decisions, and operational strategy
- Develop financial benchmarks to measure company performance
- Lead preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts
- Monitor performance against budgets and report variances to management
- Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Ensure proper safeguards for company assets
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax professionals, and financial partners
- Provide documentation and support for annual audits and financial reviews
- Lead and manage the Accounting Department
- Provide training and professional development for accounting staff
- Establish clear processes and accountability within the department
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, growing company
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required
- 8+ years of accounting experience, with increasing leadership responsibility- CPA or CMA preferred
- Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar accounting systems
- Experience with project-based or construction accounting is a plus
- Salary range: $105,000 – $125,000 per year, depending on experience
