About This Job

SUMMARY

Assists in continuous improvement projects by integrating traditional Industrial Engineering methods with digital solutions such as augmented reality (Vuforia), data visualization (Power BI), and workflow automation (Power Automate). Supports process improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing operations through both Lean practices and technology-driven enhancements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

•

Support Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Digital Transformation projects aligned with business objectives.

•

Assist with developing and deploying augmented reality (AR) training procedures using Vuforia.

•

Contribute to smart factory initiatives, including digitalization of work instructions, dashboards, and visual management tools.

•

Perform operational data collection and analysis to identify process improvement opportunities.

•

Conduct Time Studies and support standard work development with digital aids and workflow improvements.

•

Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to enhance manufacturing workflows and improve operational efficiency.

•

Assist in building and maintaining basic Power BI dashboards, Power Apps, and/or workflow automations using Power Automate.

•

Participate in Kaizen events and cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EDUCATION

Requirement

Details

Education

Student pursuing a B.S. in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field at an accredited university. Preference for Sophomore or Junior students.

Language Skills

Ability to clearly and effectively communicate ideas, findings, and improvement suggestions in writing and verbally.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to analyze operational data and apply basic statistics, rates, ratios, and interpret visual data (graphs/charts).

Reasoning Ability

Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and continuous improvement mindset. Ability to logically troubleshoot and propose solutions.

Computer Skills

Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Interest or experience in Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, or augmented reality tools like Vuforia is a strong plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

•

Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, talk, and hear.

•

Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

•

Occasionally exposed to loud work environments and must adhere to required safety procedures, including wearing PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.).
