As a Cost Engineer, you will drive diverse projects and initiatives. The major objective of Cost and Value Engineering is the generation of high customer value at competitive target costs in product, project and solution business. Generating transparency in the respective cost and value drivers along the entire value chain by applying state of the art Cost and Value Engineering (CVE) methodology.
How You’ll Make An Impact•Integration of Cost and Value Engineering (CVE) into business processes and promotion of cost and value awareness across functions.
•Creation of cost and value transparency for products and solutions, with contributions to improvement initiatives.
•Enhancement of competitiveness and profitability through application of CVE methods.
•Support in target setting based on customer needs, competitor analysis, and capability assessment.
•Strengthening of the CVE network and facilitation of knowledge exchange, ensuring cost transparency with suppliers.
What You Bring
•International professional experience, including 5+ years in Engineering, (a master’s degree in engineering preferred) and fluency in English with cross-cultural collaboration experience.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal stakeholders and suppliers, combined with analytical capability for cost driver identification.
•Expertise in should costing methods and realization of cost and value optimization opportunities
•Extensive knowledge of heavy industrial manufacturing, particularly in turbine blade and vane production (e.g. investment casting, machining, coating).
•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office tools, with willingness to travel to suppliers and production sites
•U.S. Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
