About This Job

Job Description

Target Steel seeks experienced Crane Operators for all shifts. A proper candidate will have at least 1 year experience with overhead crane operation and reliable transportation. The below listed skills are required:

Skills and Abilities:

•

Unload incoming steel coils from carriers with overhead crane.

•

Inspects incoming material unloaded with overhead crane.

•

Properly documents on receiver: weight, width, location, and any defects or damage on incoming material.

•

Load press line.

•

Unload rail cars.

•

Attend to warehouse maintenance.

•

Transfer coils from warehouse to main building.

•

Assure the locations are written on tags, and place tags in bags affixed to material.

•

Assist in locating material.

•

Provide support in the absence of other crane operators.

•

Perform Die changes.

•

Assist press operator with job set-ups.

•

Load coils into press line.

•

Complete projects as assigned.

•

Has the authority to stop production if necessary to correct quality or safety problems.

Experience and Education:

•

High School Diploma or GED.

•

Previous crane operating experience with at least 1 years empierce

Training:

•

Basic Orientation

•

Occupational Noise Exposure

•

Powered Industrial Truck Training

•

Overhead Crane/Hoist and Sling Training

•

QS Document Training

Pre-Employment Drug Screen is required.

Steel toed boots and work clothes are also required.
