Environmental Coordinator
ROLE:
Responsible for managing organizational environmental activities in accordance with the Environmental Management System.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
•Coordinate all environmental compliance activities for a principal gray and ductile iron foundry in the U.S. market sector.
•Supervise environmental staff spanning four facilities located in Wisconsin and Indiana.
•Implement continual environmental improvements as the Corporate ISO 14001 EMS Management Representative in multi-media categories including air emissions, solid waste, water use and energy use reductions.
•Promote sustainability improvements across the organization’s manufacturing locations and activities.
•Conduct/support all air and water permitting activities with state agencies to facilitate the construction or modification of plant emission sources.
•Manage the construction, operation, closure, and long-term care of three landfill facilities owned by WFI.
•Facilitate the beneficial reuse of industrial by-products in lieu of landfill disposal.
•Perform duties required by Radioactive Material Licenses for industrial gages (both Agreement State and U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission) as the Corporate Radiation Safety Officer.
•Correspond with public, state, and federal agencies to communicate WFI environmental activities.
•Oversee a multi-million-dollar budget for all WFI environmental activities.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS PREFERRED:
•B.S. Degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or related discipline.
•Environmental regulatory compliance experience (10+ years).
•Project management experience.
•Strong math skills and experience in data analysis.
•General computer and software competence.
•Experience in administering management program systems (ISO 14001, 50001 preferred).
•Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Applicant must demonstrate strong writing and public speaking skills.
TRAVEL:
•Travel required (varies 15-30% of work time based upon current project load).
