Job Title: Data Scientist I

Location: Houston, TX

Key Responsibilities

- Apply their skills in quantitative analysis, data mining & integration, and the presentation of data to solve complex problem

- Improve and implement algorithms to solve regression, optimization, classification, and pattern recognition problems using geochemical fingerprint data

- Propose, design, and implement automation solution compatible with internal codes for geochemical data processing using advanced analytical techniques, machine learning algorithms and statistical models

- Assist in database and its interface development to manage geochemical fingerprint data, standardize data format for ML models and data visualization

- Conduct signal processing, cleaning, noise analysis & attenuation of geochemical fingerprint data using internal codes

- Support Lab Team to continue improve analytical accuracy

- Work with management on strategic planning in terms of geochemical fingerprint data analytics & mining, data management, and new data applications

Preferred Qualifications

- M.S. or Ph.D. in Physics, Geophysics, Mathematics, Computer Science

, Statistics, EE, Bioinformatics, or other related disciplines

Strong modeling and problem solving skills

- Excellent coding skills with Python and other programing languages (C++, etc.)

- Experience with database ( SQL

, etc) and online platform (AWS, etc.)

- Previous experience with signal processing, noise analysis & attenuation

Fresh/recent graduate welcome

- Previous experience with chemical chromatography data processing is preferred but not required
