Safety Representative – 1-Month Project (Houston, TX) Pay: $30/hour + Overtime (12-hour Day Shifts)

We are seeking a Safety Representative for a 1-month project in the Houston, TX area. This is a contract role on-site working 12-hour day shifts with overtime (time and a half) after 40 hours per week.

What You’ll Do

- Monitor and support safety programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with OSHA and other applicable requirements.

- Conduct jobsite, equipment, and facility safety inspections to identify risks and recommend corrective actions.

- Work directly with contractors to promote safe practices and maintain a positive, cooperative work environment for all personnel.

- Ensure client organizations maintain compliance with safety regulations.

- Clearly communicate safety requirements and expectations to employees.

- Document and report safety observations, incidents, and accident data.

- Maintain a consistent and visible jobsite presence to promote safe operations.

Qualifications

- 5+ years of Environmental, Health, and Safety experience (industrial, refinery, and/or chemical plant experience strongly preferred).

- TWIC Card required.

- Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards (29 CFR 1904, 1910, 1926), NFPA codes, and applicable state/federal regulations.

- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen (ongoing screenings may be required).

- Effective communication skills with the ability to interact at all organizational levels.

- Comfortable with computers for reporting and presentations.

- Physically able to lift/carry up to 35 lbs., wear fall protection, and walk long distances on job sites.

- Pay: $30/hour + overtime after 40 hours per week

- Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, up to 7 days/week during the project
