Gibson Energy is hiring three Senior Construction Supervisors – one for each of our Canadian sites: Hardisty, Edmonton, and Moose Jaw. In this role, you will provide field-level oversight and leadership on complex construction activities across our operational and project sites. You'll ensure execution aligns with safety, schedule, quality, and budget expectations, while promoting Gibson’s values and delivery excellence.
- Oversee construction activities on assigned projects, ensuring delivery aligns with safety, cost, schedule, and quality expectations.
- Participate in project planning phases including model reviews, constructability assessments, scope walkdowns, and design reviews.
- Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with Gibson EH&S policies and procedures.
- Champion Gibson’s Vision and Values in daily site leadership.
- Support practical and fit-for-purpose construction solutions to enable efficient execution.
- Lead field supervision efforts across concurrent projects, coordinating construction resources effectively.
- Oversee onboarding/offboarding of contingent construction supervisors (civil, mechanical, E&I, tank, etc.).
- Mentor junior construction supervisors as needed to support workload demands.
- Resolve field-level construction challenges and work collaboratively with project teams.
- Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across EH&S, Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and external contractors.
- Lead construction and execution planning, schedule development, and participate in commissioning planning.
- Identify and communicate construction risks and mitigation strategies to project management.
- Provide regular project progress updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure documentation aligns with Gibson’s Asset Information Management standards.
- Lead and document shift progress meetings; monitor contractor performance against plan.
- Track contractor quality control documentation to ensure timely turnover package readiness.
- Ensure contractor compliance with daily time tickets and contractual obligations.
- Validate that all construction activities adhere to regulatory, safety, and ADF (Asset Delivery Framework) standards.- 10+ years of industry experience leading oil & gas construction projects.
- Technical Accreditation or Designation (Journeyman Ticket, CET etc.) is required.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
- Strong technical knowledge of field operations, construction, and engineering.
- Proven self-motivated, team player with a positive attitude.
- Ability to manage and prioritize workload effectively.
- Skilled at building collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Adaptable in fast-paced environments, with strong reliability.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant construction/project software.
- Majority of the work is performed at Gibson Energy construction and operating locations with time spent both in an office environment and out on the construction site.
- Shift work is required, typically on a 10 days on / 4 days off rotation (Tuesday to the following Thursday), with shifts up to 11 hours per day.
- This is a salaried position exempt from overtime.
- These roles are located in Hardisty, Edmonton, and Moose Jaw.

Gibson Energy has a strong presence in the United States, due to the acquisition of the Gateway Terminal in Ingleside, Texas. This terminal is a world-class liquids terminal and export facility with very large crude carrier (VLCC) capabilities and direct pipeline connections to key basins like the Permian and Eagle Ford. The acquisition strengthens Gibson's cash flow with over 95% of the revenue under take-or-pay contracts with high-quality counterparties.
