Fleet Mechanic
to join their team in Redmond, WA.
The schedule for this role is Monday - Friday, 6 am - 2:30 pm
The hourly rate for the role is
$40.14What You'll Do
•The Mechanic works under general supervision within existing guidelines such as standard operating procedures, technical manuals, blueprints and schematics
•This position performs routine maintenance and preventive maintenance independently
•Inspects, diagnoses, and repairs mechanical, electrical and hydraulic defects in gasoline, diesel, LNG, and electric-powered equipment such as automobiles, trucks, backhoes, vactors, and other special equipment associated with transmission, distribution, and construction trades
•Inspects, troubleshoots, adjusts, repairs, and tests air and hydraulic brake systems and supporting components.
•Inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, and tests light and heavy-duty chassis frames, steering, suspension systems, and supporting components.
•Inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, and tests manual and automatic transmissions, clutches, linkages, shift controls, and power takeoffs.
•Inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, and tests light and heavy-duty rear-end assembly differentials, universal joints, and drive lines.
•Aligns wheels, adjusts brakes, and performs other mechanical or electrical adjustments
•Opens works orders; accurately enters time worked, materials used, and provides detailed repair notes; closes work orders
•Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and regulatory inspections on vehicles and equipment
•Utilizes computerized diagnostic equipment to determine repairs and maintenance required
•Road tests vehicles, as necessary, to verify compliance with safety standards and regulatory repairs
•Performs other related duties of a comparable level/type as assigned
What You'll Bring
•The ability to work in a team environment that interacts effectively with customers and parts staff is required
•Requires four years working under a journey-level automotive mechanic or completion of an accredited apprenticeship program (or a combination of education and/or training and/or experience that provides an equivalent background required to perform the examples of work listed above
•Pass a pe-employment drug and alcohol screening.
•Must possess the standard tools of the trade.
