This role demands technical precision, strong personal discipline, and a commitment to the principles of Extreme Ownership — owning outcomes, supporting teammates, and always maintaining a high standard of safety and quality.
- Execute up-tower and down-tower composite repairs, including blade root, shell, and structural interfaces, in accordance with approved procedures.
- Perform inspections and NDT checks (UT/tap tests) to define and confirm repair scope before and after work.
- Prepare repair areas: cleaning, masking, drilling, mixing adhesives, managing cure logs, and maintaining documentation.
- Operate specialized composite repair tooling and standard blade repair equipment safely and effectively.
- Work at height inside the tower, hub, and blade root environments (up to 300 ft / 90 m).
- Complete QA/QC records to ensure full traceability and documentation compliance.
- Maintain all assigned tooling, consumables, and calibration requirements.
- Champion safety and uphold all HSE standards without exception.
- Demonstrate leadership through accountability — supporting teammates, communicating proactively, and taking ownership of all assigned work.
- Exhibit professionalism and adaptability when reassigned to alternate projects or emergent repair needs.- 2+ years of hands-on wind blade composite repair experience (Level I/II).
- GWO BST required (Working at Heights, First Aid, Fire Awareness, Manual Handling).
- Comfortable working at height (up to 300 ft / 90 m).
- Willing and able to travel 70–90%; valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Basic NDT proficiency (UT, tap test) and digital documentation experience.
- ASNT Level I/II UT for composites.
- SPRAT/IRATA Level 1+ rope access certification.- OEM blade/root experience (bushings, studs, pitch bearing interface).
