JOB SUMMARY

A Commissions Analyst is responsible for the accurate and timely calculation, processing, and analysis of sales commissions on weekly/monthly re-occurring basis. This includes data verification, running the needed processes through the commissions engine and heading up weekly meetings with sales to verify payments going out versus expectations.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

- This role is highly impactful as it ensures that commission payments are calculated and validated accurately and on time for sales, agents, and other commissions, based on established plans and policies as this is essential for maintaining strong relationships with our vendors

- Analyze existing data with an eye for identifying and resolving anomalies or inconsistencies within the data

- Ability to collaborate effectively with the BI team and end users to define and mine the right data sources efficiently and accurately

- Ability to prioritize multiple concurrent projects while still delivering timely and accurate results

- Strong verbal and written communications skills that enable you to explain complex insights with clarity and precision

- Work with third party vendors to reconcile data integration points on a regular basis

- Strong communication & presentation skills (verbal and written)

- Investigate and resolve commission inquiries and discrepancies received through commissions inbox, working with relevant teams to ensure accurate resolution

- Participate in the development and implementation of commission-related processes and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy

- Other assignments and responsibilities as necessary

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

- 2+ years’ experience as a Data Analyst preferably in a company with large, complex data sources

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software

- Retail energy industry experience preferred

- Knowledge of sales compensation plans and policies is helpful

- Exhibit a professional and positive attitude

- Adapt readily to change

- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, problem solving, written, and verbal communication skills

- Perform well in a fast-paced, deadline and detail-oriented work environment

- Knowledge and ability to facilitate meetings, conduct effective briefings and presentations and to develop consensus both internal and externally

- Ability to work in time-sensitive environment with non-flexible deadlines.
