Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, Electricians install, maintain, troubleshoot, test, and repair industrial electrical equipment in accordance with the electrical code. This position follows a rotating schedule of either Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday, from 7:00am to 5:00pm, or alternatively, a consistent Monday to Friday schedule from 7:00am to 3:00am. After completing the probationary period, the successful candidate will be required to participate in an on-call rotation every 5 to 6 weeks. During these on-call periods, the Electrician will be responsible for addressing any electrical issues that arise outside of regular working hours, either by providing support over the phone or by attending the site in person as needed.
This is a unionized position under the collective agreement between USW Local 1-417 and Molycop. The hourly wage for this role is $53.71, and the position includes benefits such as extended health and dental coverage, a comprehensive pension plan, and other employee benefits as outlined in the agreement.
