About This Job

About the Role

The Tool Technician Level 1 will work closely with other Tool Technicians in the assembly and testing of Steelhaus products by utilizing various hand tools and assembly processes. The Tool Technician will support Shipping/Receiving and Quality department.

Position Details

Status: 3-month Contract

Location: Calgary, AB (NE Area)

Duties and Responsibilities

•

Protecting their own and others’ health and safety at or in the vicinity of the work site.

•

Cooperating with their employer or supervisor by following health and safety rules for the job.

•

Using all hazard controls and wearing personal protection equipment designated or provided by the employer or required by the OHS legislation.

•

Refraining from causing or participating in harassment and violence.

•

Reporting health and safety concerns and conditions to their employer or supervisor.

•

Participating in any training provided by the employer.

•

Cooperating with any person exercising a duty under the OHS legislation.

•

Communication with their colleagues, supervisors, and managers.

•

Performing routine housekeeping around the shop.

•

Manual & mechanical Lifting & moving equipment, materials and supplies.

•

Prepping equipment prior to testing.

•

Conducting pre-use inspections of mobile equipment.

•

Preparing tools for building.

•

Building basic tools.

•

Manual & mechanical Loading tools into crates for shipment.

Required Abilities, Knowledge, Experience

•

Basic computer skills (MS office).

•

Skilled in the use of various hand tools.

•

Ability to communicate effectively with others.
